We're Going Online!
At Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer, we’re pretty old-fashioned. Here at Camp, time slows and even stops during the summer. We still serve fried chicken on Sunday nights, ask our campers to leave electronics at home, dress the girls in middies and set a pretty high bar for manners and character.
But while our values and traditions remain the same, this fall brings new technology to Camp.
For the first time in our 60-year history, we are offering online applications for Starter Camp, Mariners, traditional 4-week sessions, and our S.A.IL. On programs.
Sunfish Youth Worlds

We can now record the Youth Sunfish World Championships in the Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer history books. Sea Gull winds helped provide the perfect setting for this caliber of an event. Thirty-seven competitors from six countries participated in the three day series of racing. The event was open to qualified sailors under the age of 19.

Leading With My Strengths
Ahoy There! My name is Morgan Stephens, and I am the current Motorboating Chief at Seafarer. This will be my fourteenth summer at Camp and my second year as chief. I could not be more excited about coming back in this role, for a few reasons. First, as a second semester senior at Furman University, I am beginning to look for jobs and make plans for the next year, which can be rather daunting at times, but I am comforted knowing that I am returning to a place that will be supportive of me in the coming months.
2015 USODA Southeast Championship

Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer are excited to announce that we will host the 2015 USODA Southeast Championship this Fall! Top optimist sailors from the Southeast Region, under the age of 16, will travel to Camp Sea Gull the weekend of September 18-20 to compete. The top 25% of participants in this regional event will move on to the Team Trials, which qualify sailors for the international championships.

Camp is a Place for Independence

Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer have one of the largest fleets of boats in the country. It has any land activity your son or daughter could desire. It has cabins nestled on the banks of a river that delivers nightly breezes. It has singing, lots of singing. Fireworks on July 4. Movies under the stars. Camaraderie.
But perhaps one of the Camps’ best features, which is threaded through all of the above and so much more, is independence. It is the independence your child gains from one week, two weeks or a month away from you.
All in the Family

Camp is a lotta things. For me this summer, it’s about family. Pictured here are three of my 2nd cousins or cousins-once-removed (what relations are my cousins’ kids to me?). Sorry Katie Worth…I tried to photoshop you in. The Ransom-side of my family is as numerous as the stars. We are all over the country and rarely spend time together. When we do it’s typically in small pockets versus the full clan. We know each other, but not really. Seafarer is giving these three girls the opportunity to experience something pretty amazing together, as family.
Top 5 Sea Gull Mess Hall Skits
Being out on activities at Camp Sea Gull is a lot of fun. Campers get to set goals, challenge their own limits and play with their friends. But how do they know where to go? How do they know what will be exciting that particular day? How do they know which staff is the most fun, the most engaging, the most creative.
The answer is…The Perfect Mess Hall Skit!
